SCHOOLS & TRAINING
C&C Seminar Returns

At the beginning of this month, we had the honor of hosting the second Create & Communicate Seminar. We had 11 attendees from around the world join us for a 1-week deep dive into using video as a powerful communications tool. Renowned teacher Joseph Avakian spoke on the principles of effective and innovative communication.

C&C attendees hard at work during one of the workshops.
Accompanying the highly impactful teaching students went through a series of hands-on workshops to sharpen their video creation skills led by our communications staff. This combination proved quite successful and by the end of the week, each participant had created both a communications strategy and a finished video project. This was an amazing opportunity for our ministry to help other locations and ministries improve their communications by sharing what we have learned over the years. We look forward to continuing to offer more communications and media training in the future, stay tuned.
Testimony from the C&C Seminar
"Going into the C&C Seminar, I was expecting to learn how to communicate my creative expression in the best possible way. I also wanted to learn more about video. I didn’t know much about video and video editing going into the week, but the seminar provided me with the tools to do all of this in such a short amount of time. I can truly say I’ve left having learned a lot.
As amazing as the week was, I think the most impactful part for me was the lectures. I realized that I had come into the seminar with preconceived thoughts and ideas about creativity and communication that was challenged by our speaker Joseph. My thoughts were heavily provoked, and I feel a new motivation to create WITH God.
I’ll be able to go into my ministry with a fresh mindset of creativity and how to communicate it in the best possible way to my generation."

OUTREACH
Window into Local Outreach

One of the ongoing aspects of our campus life and ministry is local outreach. Once a week, our community piles into cars, vans, and buses and goes down into the heart of our city. From there we engage in many ministry formats including worship, intercession, evangelism, photography ministry, and food distribution. This time is an amazing outlet to make a tangible impact in our city. Lausanne is very international and each week we encounter people from all across the globe. Getting to share God's love with the people we encounter and encourage them is a highlight of our week. It is truly remarkable to see the ways God works through us when we make ourselves intentionally available to Him. The Lord is at work on the streets of our city and we are actively engaged in seeing these purposes fulfilled.

FORGING THE FUTURE
Growth in the Area Worship

One of the exciting new areas of expansion in our ministry and community is worship. We love to spend time praising and glorifying the King of Kings. Prior to the campus expansion, we lacked any kind of permanent and dedicated space for the practice and production of music. However, with the new space has come the opportunity to finally have a set space just for this. Our music studio is a space set up for worship sessions, practices, and even production/recording. The room is acoustically treated, making anything audio-related much easier to work with. We see this as a key part of the inheritance and plan God has for us as a ministry and look forward to engaging much more with the auditory arts as time goes on.

Alongside the development of the studio, we are also looking to equip and train more people who have a passion for this area with our School of Worship this summer. This is very exciting to see on many levels but especially because all of this is made possible directly by the tremendous blessing of the campus expansion. Much more to come!
