Disciples Path

Strategic training to disciple the hearts of nations

Combining discipleship, counseling, frontier missions, and Bible training to understand God’s truth, transform hearts, and impact the nations.

Training Overview

The world is hungry for Christ; You are hungry to disciple them. We are a school passionate about preparing those hungry for discipleship and missions. In order to equip and mobilize people of all nations to seek Christ, you first must be equipped to mobilize. A Disciple’s Path allows you to step out in faith to trust God in many areas as you discover more of His ways and who He is.

Situated in the heart of Europe with a rich Christian heritage, Lausanne is an amazing place to begin this journey. A Disciple’s Path incorporates multiple learning phases including a Discipleship Training School (DTS), biblical studies, frontier missions, worldview, and counseling modules. Operating in Mandarin and English, the DP welcomes students from Asia and around the world. You are welcomed to learn, encourage, and be encouraged to fulfill the great commission we’ve been given to make disciples of all nations.

Track Details

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Jeremiah 17:7-8

Purpose of A Disciples Path is…

  • To Strengthen and Deepen the foundations of one’s life holistically and learn to do that for others.
  • To Mobilize Asia for the call of missions that God has placed on their heart.
  • To Call all to Engage with God’s heart for the nations and what He is doing in this day and age.
  • To Kickstart many to pursue a degree with the UofN if they so chose.
  • To Equip individuals with the tools, the understanding, the heart, the motivation, and the ‘know-how’ to jump into the calling God has for their lives.
  • To Unite the body of Christ across national borders, to Serve nations, people groups, and the hurting.

Components of A Disciples Path

This track includes three foundational phases that gives a kickstart to any UofN degree. Whether you plan to continue your education, step out into the marketplace, or head to the mission field, the concepts and skills you’ll take away from these courses will remain relevant and life-giving as you discover the path God has prepared for you.

Discipleship Training School

Through DTS, you will learn about important aspects of the Christian faith. Many international speakers will teach on topics in which they have experienced God’s breakthrough and have practiced personally. You will put what you’ve learned into practice as you live and learn together and engage in evangelism, discipleship, and mercy ministries locally and abroad. This phase includes an eight week cross-cultural outreach.

Bible Core Seminar

Leave behind preconceived ideas about scripture by studying the Bible in context.
We will teach you how to use the Inductive Bible Study Method and other tools to dig deeper into God’s Word in light of historical and cultural context. With this lens, you can capture a greater glimpse of God’s character and nature. Experience first hand the impact the Bible has on the nations as you make practical applications.

Foundations for Counseling Ministry

Through FCM, you will be equipped to effectively minister to others through counseling tools and skills. Combined with Frontiers Missions, you will learn how to practically apply these concepts in places where they have not been implemented before. Specialized, trained counselors will teach and can give you input as you seek God’s ways in emotions, family, healing and relationships. This phase includes an outreach.

Track Structure

The Disciples Path Track is divided up into two phases:

DTS + DTS Outreach
BCC Seminar(A) – FCM – FCM Outreach – BCC Seminar(B)

If you’ve already completed a DTS and outreach, you are welcome to join us for Phase II.

You’ve seen the hunger for Christ, you’ve been learning and sharing about Him in Lausanne, and now you get to share in the nations. On outreach, you will get the opportunity to engage with the realities of hurting people in this world.

Partnering with organizations and individuals, you will be able to serve through evangelism, acts of compassion, building projects, church ministries, youth ministries, and more. You are not just a missionary in training, you are a missionary. You are fulfilling the great commission.
