John 8:31-32

The Purpose of BCC is…

  • To equip students with tools to know God and His Word more deeply.
  • To train students with skills to study the Bible and to encourage them to continue to study.
  • To give students a thorough understanding of the inductive approach to Bible study by learning how to employ many creative and diverse methods for reading, interpreting, and applying the Scriptures.
  • To support students to study the Word with eagerness and joy and apply it into their daily life.
  • To provide an environment where, through studying the Word of God and understanding His heart, students find keys for transformation in their own personal life, societies, and nations.
  • To provide opportunities to be involved in biblically-based topical seminars, dramatic re-creations, and various forms of historical, archaeological, literary, and geographical research.

Lecture Phase

Understand the Bible in a new light. Let God’s timeless truths transform your life and study.

The Bible Core Course lecture phase is a unique, 12-week opportunity to deepen your relationship with the Lord Jesus through studying His Word. You will have an opportunity to be equipped with tools to study each book of the Bible, which leads to personal transformation and greater understanding of God’s heart for individuals and nations.

The school includes formal, informal and non-formal ways of learning such as lectures, small groups, discussions, community living, daily practical ministries, personal study, and field trips.

The BCC offers an environment for students to gain a greater love for God and His Word. Regular lectures from international speakers provide students with the background and context needed to dive into the Bible study process. The staff members dedicated to this school are there to encourage, coach, and lead you through this process.

Our goal for these 12 weeks is for you to experience personal transformation—becoming more like the Lord Jesus as you meditate on and study the Word of God. We desire that each student leaves inspired and equipped to continue this lifelong journey of learning from God’s Word and sharing His truth with others.

Study Inductively

The Inductive Bible Study Method is seen as a prime method for Bible interpretation. The Inductive method is composed of five steps:

  1. Prayer
  2. Bible reading
  3. Observation
  4. Interpretation
  5. Application

This method allows the students to interpret the Bible with the perspective of the original reader. By studying the history, culture, and language of the Scripture, students have objectivity in their interpretation of the Bible.

Teach The Word

Over the course of BCC, you and your classmates will learn how to study and meditate on the Bible so you can effectively incorporate God’s word into areas of evangelism, worship, and intercession. As your heart and mind begin to develop deeper appreciation, you will have the opportunity to share your understanding with others. Exercise your teaching and preaching skills as you lead Bible study groups.
