Remember, Arise & Shine!
30 August – 2 September 2019
3 September 2019 – UofN Vision Day
Starts 30 August (Evening)
Ends 2 September
It’s YWAM Training’s year of jubilee! We are thrilled to host friends, alumni, former staff, and the global YWAM family to celebrate with us! Looking back on these years fills us with wonder at God’s faithfulness. Participate in this joyful gathering to remember what God has done, hear one another’s stories, give God glory, and renew vision for the future together. Come celebrate, be encouraged and rejuvenated with Loren and Darlene Cunningham, the founding generation, and the YWAM family from August 30th to September 2nd, 2019!
CELEBRATION PROGRAM: 30 August – 2 September UofN VISION DAY: 3 September
On arrival day Friday the 30th everyone will go through a quick registration. You will then be able to enjoy a coffee from our Café des Alpes, engage in a variety of tours, view exhibitions, and reconnect and reminisce with friends throughout the day. We highly recommend arriving before dinner (5:30 pm) to have time to register, settle in and enjoy fellowship on the grounds before the first session that evening.
The following days we will experience Celebration Gatherings and have opportunities to reunite with friends and build new relationships with those who have had a part in the larger story of YWAM – and perhaps your own story! We will come to the table together in a “Love Feast Experience” on Saturday, just as our forefathers did in the 70s. On Sunday afternoon, we will have the great privilege of hosting a graduation ceremony for UofN graduates; families and invited guests are welcome! Note for Graduates: If you hope to graduate from the UofN during this celebration, please write Donna-Rae at [email protected] by June 30th.
The program will come to an end on Monday, September 2nd after lunch; your own departure day and time depends on the housing you choose (see Housing and Transportation for more info).
September 3rd will be a UofN Vision Day. Celebrating 50 Years of YWAM Training is the perfect moment to come together to remember our story, hear from Loren & Darlene and the founding generation concerning the ways of God with YWAM’s University of the Nations. The program will include fellowship, worship, seeking God and envisioning the future.
The invitation to participate in the Vision Day goes to all UofN Leadership Teams, Base Leaders and Training Directors from the UofN President’s Gathering, the Deans, Centre Directors and their Committees, CILT members, Academic Affairs Service Team, the Board of Regents, Founders Circle, UofN Advisory Board, resource teachers and everyone who loves to participate in shaping the future of the UofN.
