This course gives you opportunity to deepen this relationship with God, creation, humanity and a consistent framework of truth, igniting passion to pursue your God-given destiny and engage with the world to spread truth into every area of society.
Lecture phase
Engaging with God’s World is a place to engage with any worldview issue, develop critical thinking skills, Biblical ethics and establish an integrated Biblical worldview. It seeks to restore a proper understanding of God’s Creation together with its purpose, emphasizing the uniqueness of humanity and our significance in the course of history. Embedded in the course is the application of a variety of tools and technologies that uniquely enlarge the classroom and broadens the learning experience, creating opportunities to engage in the world through a range of global networks. Tools, such as computer visualization, are incorporated to enhance learning and empower communication.
Experienced and passionate teachers will lead us deeper into the subject at hand, and inspire the development of life transforming attitudes, skills and knowledge, empowering you to lead a fruitful life. Through discussion, case studies and research you learn to work with God and people. We will also engage with the local community to bring exciting and relevant application around specific topics or issues. People that are engaged in the marketplace will inspire and testify of the amazing potential available for Biblical Christian involvement. Both breadth and depth will be addressed throughout the course, laying a solid foundation as well as investigating specifics.
Course content
Throughout the course you will study a range of specific aspects that relate to understanding the world we live in. Among these are: apologetics, ideas, worldview, critical thinking skills, God’s nature and character, physical and non-physical creation, science, humanity, languages, nations, cultures, the spheres of society, biblical ethics, history as God’s story, geography, archaeology, redemption, social engagement, strategies to engage for change, and more. Our desire is to always be relevant and offer the content that will best equip you.
Upon successfully completing this course you should be able to:
- Actively engage with all worldview related topics in society with Biblical understanding, research, critical thinking and a Spirit-led approach, utilizing appropriate tools.
- Address current issues in the framework of truth, offering strategies and solutions for redemptive development through personal ministry, networking and applied technology.
- Creatively engage with and promote the use of communication technologies to reach all nations in order to maximize impact and multiplication.
- Understand new ways of discipling the nations through multiplying truth.
