Calling all leaders, organizers, visionaries! Do you have a passion for people? Do you long to see the gospel multiplied throughout the nations? If you love to dream, plan, organize, and empower, the School of Event Management might be the right next tool in your tool belt. You never know where it could lead — in either the mission field or the marketplace.
Vision
The vision of the SEM is to see young people grow in their leadership by skillfully birthing, creating and leading out events of all sizes. Its aim is to create powerful, effective programs that will impact communities, cities and nations – communicating God’s truth and message through creative means.
What’s it all about?
We are seeking students with God’s vision and stamina to follow projects to completion, even withstanding possible spiritual attack. They will have many practical opportunities to develop and apply their vision during the seven month school, which will be a combination of Lecture and Outreach phases. Apprentice-style learning will ensure that students are actively engaged with the material while working closely with experienced staff. Students will have the opportunity to plan and manage events both locally at YWAM Lausanne, regionally at Regeneration Outreach in neighboring Montreux, Switzerland, and globally at the London Olympic Outreach (http://www NULL.forever2012 NULL.com/).
Outcomes
By the end of the school we hope to equip students in the following areas:
- To grow in leadership and faith while taking on new initiatives
- Pioneering new events and programs that will impact communities
- Be equipped and actively growing in skills to effectively lead, plan and manage events
- To build platforms for the Arts
- Learn how to lead a project with a team
- Multiply effective events leaders who will impact society at all levels
