Begin your journey as an educator at YWAM Lausanne! You will be challenged to deepen your relationship with God while learning how to nurture others in their first years of life. If you have a love for children and desire to grow in the field of education, consider one or both of the following courses for your development:
Foundations in Education
Learn how children grow and develop as you prepare to teach children in a variety of contexts. The FIE provides a biblical framework for those who wish to teach children in their foundational years. It gives an overview of the different learning styles, prepares you to plan a biblically-sound curriculum, and gives background on the philosophy of education to deepen your understanding of the entire learning process.
Early Childhood Education
Dig deeper into your passion to teach young children with the ECE and following internships. The ECE continues to build on the foundations you have built in the FIE, preparing for the hands-on internships that will put into practice what you have been learning. You will learn how to put methodologies into practice that are specifically tailored for early childhood educators.
After completing the FIE, ECE, two internships and a field assignment, students are eligible to graduate with an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Early Childhood Education with the University of the Nations. See the Academics and Degrees page for more details about how to enroll in degree programs.
