frequently asked questions

How much sport will we do?

The Matterhorn

Each week we will have two or three times of group exercise and one afternoon of sports activities planned into the schedule. We will also spend one week biking across Switzerland to build friendships and see the country. There are plans for a gym on the base and many sports facilities exist in the area already, so you can always get out and be active in your free time. Be sure to bring any sports gear that you may want to have during the dts. The amount of sports is really up to you!

What kind of sports will we do?

We will use sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball and Frisbee to build relationships and reach out to people in the city where we live. We will also do days of hiking and a bike trip to take the classroom outdoors, using creation to continue the personal growth and learning while exploring the beauty of Switzerland. Many other types of sports are possible in Switzerland such as swimming, rollerblading, rock climbing, kayaking, sailing, hang gliding, and many more!

Frisbee!
Will sports be a part of the outreach?

At least one of the outreach teams will also participate in a two week prayer and intercession trek among unreached people groups in Northern India. This trip will continue to use sports as one of the tools to reach out to people and explore God’s creation, just like during the lecture phase.
