The closest airports to Lausanne are in Geneva (GVA) and Zurich (ZRH). The Geneva airport is a 40 minute train ride away from the Lausanne train station. Zurich is under 3 hours away by train. Both airports have train stations in them with a route to Lausanne. See below for the instructions to travel by train.

Follow the signs marked "Gare" for the airport train station. It is better to buy your ticket before you get on the train. You can exchange money at the airport, but you can also use a credit card to purchase your ticket. After your train leaves, make sure to watch out for the Lausanne train station stop or just ask someone on the train to help you find your stop.

zurich airport >> lausanne train station

travel time: 2 hrs 45 min frequency: about 30 min approx. cost: one way CHF 67. Same as above except, follow the signs marked "Bahnhof" for the train station.

Merge onto E62. 57.7 km. At fork in freeway take right in direction of Lausanne du Nord A9 (E62), 2.3 km.

• Follow signs to Lausanne du Nord or Simplon for about 7km

• Take the exit towards LAUSANNE-VENNES, 0.3 km

• Keep LEFT at the fork in the ramp to EPALINGES.

• Turn LEFT to EPALINGES on ROUTE DE BERNE. 3.3 km

From this point you can follow the signs to "Le Mont/Ecole Hoteliere"

• Take the exit towards "Le Mont" or "Ecole Hoteliere" 0.2 km

• Turn Right onto ROUTE DE LA CLAIE-AUX-MOINES. 0.3 km

• Turn Right onto Route De Cojonnex 0.3km. You will see our big pink and green chalet on the left!

• Turn Left onto Chemin Du Praz d'Eau

bern >> ywam lausanne

• Merge onto A1. 33.8 km. Take the exit towards AVENCHES. Turn LEFT.   0.4 km. Enter next roundabout and take 2nd exit. 0.6 km. Turn RIGHT onto 1. 11.4 km.

• Stay straight to go onto 1. Pass through 1 roundabout. 34.5 km

• Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto ramp.

• From this point you can follow the signs to "Ecole Hoteliere" (see above).

lausanne train station >> ywam lausanne

From the Lausanne train station take bus number 5 direction to Epalinges. At the bus stop in Epalinges you will need to transfer to bus number 64 (you will need to purchase a separate ticket as this is a different zone). From bus 64 you get off at the "Ecole Hotelière" stop which is almost directly in front of the ywam lausanne base. Opposite the Ecole Hotelière" is a 4 story building. You have arrived!
