The School of Evangelism (soe) is a 6 month intensive course that embraces both the message and the methods of evangelism. Its primary purpose is to help you gain a deeper understanding of the character of God as the first step towards making Him known (evangelism). Understanding God's character is key to understanding how to meet the needs of today's world. The content of this school will center around discovering the passion in the heart of God for the lost, learning to prepare and deliver powerful messages, and encountering the power of God. The training phase of this school will be intermingled with local outreaches. course contents Module 1 - The Evangelistic Messenger • the process and need to make evangelism/witnessing a lifestyle instead of an event • personal gifts and personalities as they relate to evangelism. • the authority of the believer from a biblical perspective. • basic principles of faith and finances. Module 2 - The Evangelistic Message  • the main elements of the gospel message. • a Christian world view and how it should affect the way we live • the character, personality, and nature of God. • the elements of cults and how they differ from Christianity in their belief system and world view. • the main elements of the Buddhist, Muslim and Hindu religions and how they differ from Christianity and other world religions. • the elements of effective discipleship and follow-up. • reaching cultures and subcultures. Module 3 - Evangelistic Methods
• forms of evangelism. • presenting an evangelistic message. Module 4 - Ministry • opportunities to share the gospel in a variety of settings. • participate in intercession for evangelism. • develop and implement an appropriate follow up process for evangelism.
